if I receive an email with an mp3 attachment can i save it and use it as a ringtone with a Blackberry 8700g?

I used to own a Motorola and had great ease trnasferring my own ringtones with other Motorola phones, I'm hoping I can do the same with my Blackberry but Bluetooth won't let me transfer them. Is there any way I can use my ringtones on a Blackberry?

Yes but it is better to ask the motorola care merchant.

The BB 8700 will allow you to save mp3's but not select them as a ringtone. You can listen to them as media.
