Queen were one of the best bands around. Sadly the lead singer - Freddie Mercury - died in 1991. Queen albums had spent more time on the UK album charts than those of any other musical act. They have sold in excess of 100 million records.
I am sure you have heard of the song 'We are the Champions' or 'We will Rock You.

Oh my gosh the lead singer, Freddy Mercury had one of the best voices in rock! They were one of my favorite bands in high school. Freddy died a number of years ago from AIDS and the band was called "Queen" because they were all gay. (True story! )
Killer Queen, We Will Rock You and Another one Bites the Dust were a few of my favorites but they are probably most known for Bohemian Rapsody.

They were great. Do you know the song "We are the Champions" sung at many football (soccer) games? That's a song by Queen. Unfortunately, their lead singer, Freddy Mercury died of aids...then it became very quit around Queen. I've been told that the band is performing again, after many years...

Uh, yeah. Haven't you? They were only one of the biggest rock bands of the 70s and 80s. Have you never heard "Bohemian Rhapsody"?
Freddie Mercury was one of the most talented lead singers ever, very talented, as was the whole band.

Edit: At sporting events, two Queen songs are used:
"We are the Champions", of the world
We will, We will, Rock You.
They also performed the soundtrack for the original Highlander film.

I've been a fan of them ever since the beginning.
IMHO they're more than just "good", they are awesome.
Why don't you google for their song : "BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY", it will give you a pretty good idea of WHAT they can do with their voices, AND how good they are at the music arrangments!
Sadly their lead-singer, Freddy Mercury, died in December 1991....and the remaining three members of Queen decided no-one could take his place. (I couldn't agree more with them)
(whether you agree with your brother and me depends on what kind of music YOU like, of course)

Queen, were the greatest band ever. we will rock you, bohemian rhapsody (to great effect in waynes world), crazy little thing called love, all the highlander music, the flash gordon soundtrack.........the list is endless. pick up greatest hits vol 1 & 2 immediately!
