I remember it perfectly. I was sitting next to my older sister when the cute face came on the screen. I heard a collective "Aww..." through the theater, and with no small chagrin, realized my mother's voice was the loudest. Yes, that is danged cute. The movie Garfield was pretty much ruined because of it.

Heh heh - while it was cute, it wasn't my favorite part. My favorite part (being a rare guy with a sense of honor, duty, and courage) was the part where Shrek was human, forcing his way into the castle with the help of Mungo the giant Gingerbread man (as they're playing the song "I Need a Hero"). It just really gets to you if you're a guy with a sense of decency.

Most days and yes it always works she gets her own way,who couldn't refuse anything when they pull that face, our cat has me well and truly under her paw! and yes i do worship the ground her little paws walk on,cats have power over us humans there is no denying it,she does that face when she wants something or is guilty of knocking something over,or even at the odd time she has peed on my clothing! but she gets away with it all,as she pulls that "Cute Face"

I loved that movie. I'm still undecided if it's as good as the first or not, but it's certainly up there. Puss in Boots is part of the reason I loved it so much. I have a large poster in my dorm room where he does the cute face. If he was real, I'd keep him as my pet/protector!

I like the scene when the Donkey and Shrek drank the potion and they change from a Donkey to a Stallion and from a freak to a hunk.
