It's like q_mastr said, the Oakland Raiders still play football there, so nothing will happen to the stadium. At least not until the Raiders decide they want a new stadium, which probably won't be for a long time since they are renovating the current one.

When the Oakland Athletics move to Cisco Field, the Raiders will still continue to use the Oakland Coliseum.

It is home of the Oakland Raiders...the only reason why the a's have to leave. The Raiders ruined the stadium for the rest of us with the monstrostiy in centerfield called Mt. Davis. They tied up funds in Oakland and made it so they have a bad taste in their mouth for helping sports teams. So only option was to pack the show up and move.

I do think of it gets kinda stupid as a results of fact the call many times has no longer something to do with the gang or section. even though, i do no longer honestly recommendations that the Rockies play at Coors field, as a results of fact it fairly is domestically significant. Coors, although there are different breweries and bottling factors for the duration of the rustic and it fairly is a factor of the better Molsen-Coors relatives now, is a Colorado-based variety. the enterprise began here interior the 1800s and being brewed from the "organic water of the Colorado Rocky Mountains" become long prided as a particular trait of Coors. Now there's a Coors brewery in Virginia and that i don't be attentive to in the event that they delivery water all that way, even though it fairly is a historic ingredient. additionally the Coors relatives continues to be famous interior the Denver section. for that reason altogether, I see Coors field as a valid call for the placement the place the Denver baseball team performs. i do no longer fairly be attentive to all people who minds as a results of fact Coors is a historic Colorado enterprise. Now whilst they replaced previous Mile-hi and named the recent Broncos stadium "Invesco field"? Now THAT become a source of discontent for Coloradans because it took a field named for a Denver trait (being precisely one mile above sea point at somewhat some factors, such as a results of fact the Capitol construction) and named it after some economic enterprise.

It's about time the A's get a real baseball stadium. That place has the personality of a Veteran's Stadium or Three Rivers, etc.
The A's franchise deserves it too.
I believe they'll blow up the old one.
