somebody told me that a lightning struck at copper rods , (generally used in very tall buildings to protect from lightning) the rod acquire some rare characters. the alchemy, from the devastating high voltage of electricity from the lightning, make the copper metal into supernatural metal . is is true:

Nothing of that sort. Copper conducts electric charges from the cloud ( we call it lightning). It has a basic capability of withstanding the amount of charge (otherwise the current in amperes) against certain amount of time. This is called the i^2 x t energy limit. if this energy tolerent level is exceeded, the copper rod's inherent resistance gets heated up to i^2 x r watts and the heat melts the copper rod.

As an observation, check the lightning struck rod, if it has a black char around the skin, it had not had a very bad strike, if you see discontinuous metal with the same image of a burning candle, you may conclude it is about to melt.

if the lightning is powerful, sorry my friend, you will not see the copper rod itself. you will see a ball of molten metal, difficult to identify what it was.

by the way, you know, this is one of the classic way of cheating the villagers in olden days to sell the molten copper at high price. It used to be sold in our village to make as a bangle or necklace or a ring to get rid of all bad omen and evil spirits.

I remember to have seen my old copper bangle in my box, which we bought about 45 years back.

Did anyone tell you it will change the molecular structure so that the alchemy changes the metal to Gold?????

You will love to see such a metal after 40 years and after doing Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Like me....

As copper is the good conducting material that is more free electrons r available ,when the light falls on the metal the electrons acquire energy & the electrons flow through the material & due to high radiation some of the electrons break from their bonds & so large amount of current flows through it,if the radiation is so high then the metal may melt

A copper rod has a very low Resistance to electricity, but a high enough current could melt or vaporize it.

No. Electricity travels along the outside of a conductor in this case the copper rod. This phenomenon is referred to as the skin effect.

there nothing supernatural thing as such. when copper is struck with high voltage it conducts the whole current. since its got a high melting point,

No. The most that will happen is it will melt.
