I've lost about 45 lbs. I'm 5'6', 135 lbs. Sometimes I'm not happy with my looks. Two people have said that I have this Mona Lisa look. I feel that I have this very unusual look. Every time I see myself on video tape, I just want to shut it off. I'm a very happy and energetic person at times, but my eyes and eyebrows give me this sad, gloomy expression. I hate it. I look older than I am. Should I make my eyebrows thiner or color my hair a differnt color from the original dark brown?

I feel like I got more attention from guys when I was around 150 lbs. Positive attention. Now I don't know what to think of myself.

You know, it's all the media bullshit. It's all you making you feel badly about yourself. If you're always recluse, making yourself small and such, you'll project that image onto other people, and they are going to leave you alone.
You have to realize that not everyone cares how you look. They aren't judging you and talking about you...I have learned that lesson myself, and being 15 lbs over your weight, I have never had more attention as I do now.
I owe it all to my friend, she's 200 plus, and rolling in men. Nice, young, tight men!! It's all in the confidence, because she has it drippin from every pore...she's been that way since high school, and I've learned many a thing from her!
So you can too. It's about how you feel about yourself. If you don't feel comfortable yet, lose more weight (or gain if you feel you were better looking then). You have to maintain health though too. Think about your future...
Lose the magazines, ditch the fashion shows...watch the view, and see a variety of normal sized women, successful and happy. Good Luck to you hon. I know, getting past our brainwash-edness is tough...

Maybe you should lighten your hair just a shade. Or add highlights. I am 38yo female 5'3" 110 lbs. no children and many people tell me I look at least 5-10 yrs younger than I am which is great. But I do look at myself and see a very tired woman. I have a high stress career.
Only thing I can suggest to you is go and get advise from a beautician maybe a full make-over would be nice. And a long relaxing vacation!!! :)

i does no longer placed a sort on my visual charm (i'm somewhat biased :P), yet i'd say that i'm tremendously, perchance even classically desirable. I, like certainly everyone, have my faults, yet i do no longer think of faults constantly detract from splendor/charm. I do think of that it is significant, and not basically in terms of romantic relationships. human beings choose themselves and others as we talk based upon what they see. it is why clothing, hairstyles, and different issues like piercings and tattoos are so complicated- they have implications that bypass far previous how they make you sense. an astounding occasion of ways significant seems are: examine the define of a character in a competent e book (written by potential of a descriptive author). frequently specific aspects of a individual's visual charm are right now linked with a character trait only of their description. a reliable jaw, aristocratic nostril, unique eyes, etc. those constructive aspects are prolonged onto the guy's character.

I would say that if your eyes look dark and your undereyes are shadowed, try to use a shade lighter concealer under your eyes. Physicians Formula makes an excellent one specifically for dark rings. As far as you face goes, maybe a hint of blush or bronzer just to give your face a little more color. Hair wise, don't weigh down your face by having hair all one length or by not adding any dimension. Consider adding highlights to soften the look.

Well sometimes i feel pretty. Thats ususally when guys or people im not close with compliment me.

When i see myself on tv i feel the same way. I look older then i am too. Mostly because of my height though.

So basically i feel fine.

Well i think we all should just feel good in our own skin. People should like you for who you are.

Confident, slim. . . . Why do you care? Did you ask this Q to broadcast how you want us to think you look? I feel like I stumbled into the personal ads.

Congratulations for losing 45lbs. That is a huge accomplishment.

you know i would ask a professional about your eyebrows, without seeing them i would hate to give you bad advice! i would try changing your eye make up. make sure that you are not putting your eyeliner on to think that can make you look sad, when you arn't.
i hope this helps you some, just remember, keep smiling!

eyebrows say who you are. Go to a professional eyebrow threader. (preferrably Indian. They've been practacing this for hundreds of years.) anyway, all you need to do is get them done once or twice a month. I get mine done and get alot of possitive compliments.
