I heard that a man was shot when trying to be robbed of his PS3. Why do so many people want a PS3? Is it worth risking their lives over?

I'm sure the man that got shot didn't think he was risking his life. Everyone thinks that it can't happen to them. People murder others for all sorts of reasons. The blame should be placed on the murderer, not the average Joe video game guy. Why can't we have a society where we can enjoy ourselves by anticipating a product without murderous animals? We are too soft on these repeat offenders. Tomorrow when you watch the news and if they catch this guy, watch and see if he doesn't have a past criminal history. Waiting in line for movies and products are becoming part of our pop-culture. I enjoyed the time when I waited for my favorite video game or movie to come out, even in the cold. But there was always one jerk ready to spoil the fun for everyone else. Just one.

It's about greed. Most of the campers aren't even gamers to begin with. They're just opportunists trying to make a few hundred quick bucks. They're asking for trouble because they're telling the world where they'll be camping and how much money they could be carrying.

Department stores should make it illegal for anyone to camp. They should have security remove all campers until the morning of the launch. Or they should at least provide security for the campers.

It's a shame about the guy who got shot in CT because he was going to use the money to pay off some debt and to share it with his grandmother.

It is because of stupidity and immaturity. If all of these people wait a couple of weeks, there will be more available. But unfortunately, everyone wants it now, wants to be the first person to have it. They believe that being one of the first people to have one will somehow raise their social standings. If only people were that tenecaious about their college educations, families or their careers, the world would be a better place.
