i'm a pure filipino. ironically, i hate being a filipino and my heritage because of too much American and Spanish influence which degrades me more. i hate my spanish name. but then i found racial similarities of filipinos with indonesians, but at least indonesians are truly asians by heart and culture. i even hate being a filipino because almost everyone in the world stereotypes them as sexually driven and too much of a monkey attitude. indonesians, on the other hand, are more ethically asian and they are well-mannered. am i having an inferiority complex?

I think Filipino dudes are beautiful and sensible.
I've never met one that fits that stereotype you mention.
If you confine yourself to genuine people you will never have to worry about what kind of blood is flowing through your veins. No matter what anyone says (me included) just learn to love "you"

Filipino races share a multitude of influences. There's the asian side, and latin side. You can choose to align yourself on either side, or both. Filipino people tend to be "exotic" looking at least to Americans.
However, to answer your question, yes. You can believe whatever you like to believe, instead of stereotyping your race. There is good and bad in every culture/religion so pick the best parts of all of them, and use them as your guide through life. Why care what anyone else thinks?
Sincerely,
Rick

Yes, you have an inferiority complex and you are thinking too much about things that don't matter. The American and Spanish influence doesn't 'degrade' you, your own feelings degrade you. You can be as degraded or as proud as you decide to be. Its who you are INSIDE that counts. Dont you KNOW that?

Hey friend,
You can no more help or change your ethnicity than a leopard can charge his spots....
I am a hybrid of Indian and African..
I too, know how cruel people can be and of the seething hatred that oozes from their lips....
Believe in yourself at all costs, you have great things to accomplish...

Sounds like you hate too much. Just be who you are & don't worry about stereotypes. That's what matters.
