Assuming your Xbox360 isn't going to be placed directly next to your internet connection, you might want to consider a wireless router. Keep in mind, you'll also need a wireless GAMING "antenna". I agree with the first poster, Linksys is heads and shoulder above the others (Tech Service is great), but recognize that you're going to have to buy a wireless router AND the wireless connector - two seperate purchases. Both can be purchased at Best Buy or Circuit City or CompUSA.

If you tell one of the tech guys what you're trying to do, they should be able to point you in the right direction.

The Xbox will hook up via Ethernet, which is a standard router plug. If you go wireless, even better.

Any router will do for the most part. I prefer linksys routers, as they are more of a "Brand name" and are easy to configure.

It also depends if you are going to connect it wireless or wired. I have an original xbox connected to a linksys WRT54G router (wired) and it works great.

Tiger Direct .com has the best prices on computer stuff too. :)
