You can partition your hard drive using Acronis Disk Director. One can create, merge, split and resize partition without any data being lost using Disk Director.

There is a utility called fdisk in os. U have to load it and then follow instructions for creating partitions as per ur choice about the number, size of each etc. After the partitions r created, u have to reinstall all the programs again.

Use the bootable disk from your OS then Fdisk by clicking F2.

you don't need to reinstall anything, there is a software called " PowerQuest.PartitionMagic.v8.0.1242." you can use it. it's so easy to deal with this sw.
