1) Is abortion murder? no. as long as it is done before the 4th month.

2) are there any acceptions in which abortion is acceptable?(is yes, why only those)yes. rape, molestation, not being able to take care of the child, if the mother isnt ready, health conditions. I personally would never get an abortion, but i dont think that it is right to have people outside of clinics screaming at them making them feel worse than they already do. if they want an abortion and maybe mess up their insides, its on them :D

yes.

i really think abortion is one of those topics that both sides are to blind to the other. i really hate how people can have sex and then just erase their mistake, but then again i think its wrong for groups of people to walk up and down busy malls that have kids with parents and show pictures of aborted fetus's screaming about how abortion is a sin.

2] yes, in cases where a baby is better off dead then alive. Abortion, is excusable if death would do the child justice. Meaning that the child would be better of dead than born. Like if the mother was just going to abandon it in a dumpster or something. And if the mother was a victum of rape. But I think that foster homes and orphanages exist. But if the mother is a drug addict, the baby will be in real pain when it is born and when it is in the mother. I think that an abortion would be excusable for that.

3] yes, and all human beings have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. What makes it a human being? A heart, brain, nervous system, bones, etc. All he characteristics of a living organism.

4] yes. but if the brain, is the only functional organ then it is not alive. The brain is.

5] no, a fetus/unborn baby is more alive than it.

6] no, because it does not have the characteristics of life--the ability to potentially reproduce [that doesn't mean it can, but is has the potential or once had the potential to do so], grow, develop, and adjust to changes in environment.

7] It is worse to have an abortion, because that would mean that the other twin would have to die too. Unless it would die anyways, during separation. That's another thing. If the baby is going to die anyways, then it should be aborted, but only if death would do it justice than life. This goes for some babies of Meth addicts, who might be nothing but skin and bones, because the mother was addicted to Meth.

I don't know if your discharge is normal or not. I do know you can get pregnant easier now than usual because your hormones are off balance because of the recently terminated pregnancy. I would also like to tell you that I had an abortion 3 years ago. I was 22 and I had a 2 year old. I do not regret my decision. No matter what anyone says to you abortion is our choice. I have another child now and anyone you asked would tell you I am a good mom. I work 12hrs a day 7 days a week to support my kids because their dads don't help. There was only one person that supported my decision. Not many people know but those that do think it was a horrible thing. My advice to you is if you are like me and don't want to defend yourself against the ridicule tell as few people as possible. But don't ever let anyone change how you think about it. If you are glad you did it there is nothing wrong with that. Try to keep it from happening again because it can be hard on your body if you do it more than once or twice. Before I got into the situation I was in I was one of those people who would put others down for having an abortion. People don't know until they are faced with it how they will respond. I miscarried my first two pregnancies and my third the doctor wanted to do an amniocentesis because there was a chance my baby would have a birth defect because of genetic reasons. I refused the test because it can cause miscarriage and I told him I didn't care what was wrong I wanted the baby and wouldn't abort even if he could prove it would not be normal. However when I had that abortion it didn't matter whether the baby was healthy or not I wanted it to be over. I felt so relieved when I walked out of that clinic that day. I am sorry for rambling on. I just thought you might need some words of encouragement and support. Maybe you didn't and I just felt like sharing my story. It's just that this is a very touchy subject and everyone's opinions are so strong that their words are often way too harsh. I'd love to hear your thoughts on everything I've just dumped on you if you feel like it.

2) Yes: rape, accidental pregnancy, sheer stupidity of the mother, threat to the mother's health, likeliness of the baby to have a poor life outlook due to physical issues

3) Yes, a fetus after about 5-6 months is, No, an embryo is not... though I have a tough time with this because I feel as though my son had a will to live only 3 weeks after he was conceived--everyone thought I was going to miscarry but he hung in there to be born healthy at 37 weeks.

7) That really depends on whether you're talking about aborting a perfectly viable, "normal" fetus or a fetus that is anticipated to have this defect.

8) Interesting questions, my impression (from seeing the story elsewhere) was that the two twins couldn't live apart anyway because they share a substantial portion of their brain. If you had included this specific information in your questions I would say that these particular twins (but not necessarily other twins who can live attached) perhaps should have been aborted.

1) If murder is the intentional killing of a human being, then it depends on whether or not you believe that a fetus is a human being. Most scientists do not regard a fetus as a "person" until it reaches the second trimester, in which case an early-term abortion is not murder.

2) Again, it depends on your ideas of whether or not abortion is acceptable in the first place. I would think that if a fetus is known to have serious illnesses or deformities that will cause it to live a short and painful life of suffering, even if it is in a later term of pregnancy, then abortion may be acceptable.

3) Based on my medical understanding of the development of a fetus, it is NOT conscious until its brain stem and spinal cord have developed. It is conscious (to a certain degree which increases over time) after that moment.

7) Abortion would have been better, in my opinion. Once you have already given a child the opportunity to live, it is cruel to take that life away from it, even in the hope of saving the other twin.

1. It depends on what stage of pregnancy the abortion is performed in. If it's the 2nd or 3rd trimester-the woman has no business having an abortion, she should have made that choice much earlier. "Aborting" a baby who could live outside the mother's womb IS murder.
