My period started a week early and lasted the normal 4 days.2 days later I start to flood for a few hours then stopped. Today I started spotting. My periods are always real heavy and it was recommended that I have my uteris removed. Anyone else have this happen?

i had a tilted uterus and for a long time mine was fine but as it got worse my periods were so heavy i would have to use a tampon and pad and still change both within an hour. i finally had to have a hysterectomy because the periods got so bad and the pain was so bad. it even hurt to have sex. so went in and had a partial hysterectomy and have been great since i had it done when i was 27 yrs of age. so if your Dr. says you need to have it done i would get it done asap. you will feel sooooo much better trust me i don't miss any of it.

Yeah. I bled for 8 weeks recently. I have a history of and current fibroid tumors and PCOS (poly-cystic ovaries) and the Dr. has to treat each separately.

Best advice is to get as much info as possible from Dr., look everything up on your own to learn all you can and don't delay any treatment.

Best of luck!

Depends on how old you are. Just because you are spotting you do not need your whole uterus removed. They will not usually do that unless you have cancer which I doubt you have.
