What you are feeling is perfectly normal for a person of your age. There would be something a little wrong if you didn't feel that way. The time will come soon enough. finish school, or you will have a lifetime of regrets over leaving now. You have no idea how lucky you are. I wish I had that kind of set up when I was your age. some of us run out of the house years too early for reasons of our own.
I think you need a wild vacation, but a safe one. You will come back with a new perspective. Treat yourself to something different.

You are living now. You just have a routine that is not that exciting maybe. You are not pathetic at all. Why not live with your parent's if you want to? Who says you can't if it works for you and your family? I did that. Get through school and you will feel much better then. I hated college and could not wait for it to be over, so this is a down time for some people, while for others it is a great experience. Maybe you could live in a dorm at a university when you get all the classes finished at your community college, just to have that experience. I did that for one year. I hated it, but I can say that it was an experience. So maybe try that as a future option. You are going to college and you are doing well, so smile and you will get through it. Just hang in there. I am out of college and my parents are not around anymore and I wish my dad was because I miss him. So you should live and enjoy each day with your family if it is good. You will be older and out in the workforce before you know it, so enjoy what freedom and youth you have now. You are young and it is hard, but you have a lot to look forward too, so don't rush into things that you are not ready for and don't feel like you have to have a time line all figured out. No one around you can judge you fairly or tell you what to do. Only you know what is best for you and that is what you need to decide. If you are happy but it is the other people around you-like friends or whatever putting you down or making you feel strange for being at home, well don't buy into that. Everyone is different. What works for others may not be right for you at this time. Nothing will ever be perfect in your eyes or right, until you do what is best for you. There is always a down side to everyone's life. It is just how you perceive things. Don't be so hard on yourself. Nothing is ever perfect, but you can choose what is best for you and you can always change your plans if they don't work out. Good luck with everything.

Do you work? I have found that this is where I meet most friends that I didn't already have for a long tim from school.
Have you considered moving out on your own? I did as soon as I could afford it, but I suppose you would also have to be working for this to be feasible also.
You have good grades so...figure out what you want to do with your career, and find a school in an interesting location that is known for what you want to major in. I would pick something that is still within driving distance from your home, but not close enough that you will be tempted to go home every weekend. Something maybe 4 hours away.

What are you waiting for? Leave on good terms. (You may need to come back). But, get thee on an adventure. Lots of young people are walking through Tibet and Mongolia, for example, with just a backpack, a cell phone, and a few bucks. I'm a retired hospice nurse, Picklepuss, and an ancient human with some wisdom. You are dying. Right now. Can't your read how your spirit is dissipating right here in those pale-hearted words of your question? You've got a one-way ticket, hon. Don't waste it. Please. LIVE! (Use condoms).

Finish collage and then follow your dream even if it is to become a mime or a clown whatever do what you love the money will follow. Dont stop going to school, if you dont know what that dream is yet.If you know what that dream is, and know it from the bottom of your very soul then follow it. But make sure your running TO something, and not away from something. You realy dont have to know till your 35 there are no rules. If your happiness does not rely on attachment to objects you can be free anywhere. Remember what MR Brady said wherever you go there you are.

.Do it I made my son get out for his own good . Your parents will take you back in if you need some help. By the way he is doing great in college, I bought him a truck and give him 850$ a month if he keeps up with college. He joined the Army reserves and its making about 300$ a month for per diem every weekend and he trains at least 3 weekends a month. ☺☺☺

First thing, it is perfectly normal for you to feel this way right now. It's like that bridge between being dependent and independent. Being independent is scary but the idea of "freedom" is enticing. I would say that you need to define your real drive and reason for living. I found mine in a real relationship with CHRIST. Now I know why I'm here and what I am to do while I'm here, but also I know that the things I do for the Kingdom of Heaven will last forever.

Finish school, then do what you want. Maybe take a break from school for a semester .... get a job. Hard to help you becasue you really do need a college degree to make enough money to live on your own.

Hi,
If you asked me, you're doing it...
Life is to be lived, not anticipated.
A great deal of living has to do with your perception of life...
Education is the key.....
Without it you merely exist.
Take your time, when the demands of challenge and responsibility
start you will certainly have enough on your plate....
You'll long for these days...
