Why do some people call ciggarettes squares and do ciggarettes get you higher?

A square is a normal cigarette, a smoke is generally marijuana. Gangsters think the users of drugs are idiots and don't often use any of the addicting drugs. Marijuana is not an addicting drug. Yes, one does get a buzz from tobacco, its very short tho.

Some people use slang to sound street are gangster. What they do not realize is that is makes them sound ignorant. A square, short, butt, fag and wood are all slang words for the same thing. As for getting you high, no, but the nicotine and other chemicals in them can make you light headed until you build up a tolerence.
