Who likes Salman Rushdie's "Satanic Verses?"?

Yes. Rushdie is a great writer. My first introduction to him was "The Satanic Verses." I read "Shalimar the Clown," earlier this year, and it was terrific. "Midnight's Children", "Shame", the list goes on and on.

My teenage daughter thinks he's wonderful also.

Great book. Do you remember when it first came out and there was a price on Rushdie's head? That was so crazy!
