Bush usually ends with "May God bless America" or "may God bless this country".
What's a liberal president likely to say? Will "God" be erased?

Depends on the context of the speech. Generally you want a conclusive statement that supports everything you were talking about. A strong, well-crafted statement that brings power to what you're saying. when you close a speech you need to use your strongest saying. Something to make them remember that particular speech. Otherwise, every speech is same-old same-old, and becomes very crass.

The ending to the speech is your BOTTOM LINE. Only a fool would end each and every speech the exact same way. Whats the point in even speaking if all you say is "God bless America" You may as well not even give the speech. You may as well start you're speech saying God bless, and end it saying America.

The last statement is the last thing listeners are going to hear; it sticks in our minds the most.

When will Republicans get it through their heads? 90% of the people in American describe themselves as Christians. 50% of the people describe themselves as liberals. Do the math, people. Most liberals are Christians. The idea that liberals are all atheists was started by the GOP in order to discredit them. The idea that all liberals wants to raise taxes was started by the GOP. The idea that all liberals want to reduce the size of the military, pull out of Iraq, and sit and sing Kum-by-yah with the terrorists was started by the GOP.

If you allow your enemies to define who you are, you're never going to look good.

Perhaps you might remember this phrase from a famous democrat: Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.

The same person said: If art is to nourish the roots of our culture, society must set the artist free to follow his vision wherever it takes him.

That was John F. Kennedy.

Now check out this guy: As you know, we're studying safe levels for arsenic in drinking water to base our decision on sound science, the scientists told us we need to test the water glasses of about 3,000 people. Thank you for participating.

In my sentences I go where no man has gone before...I am a boon to the English language.

Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country.

That was your brilliant president mangling thought as usual.

Someone obviously wasn't paying attention during the last congressional elections.

well... let's take a look... it's really not that hard...

you folks seem to think Clinton is a liberal president, and the texts are available... I just did a quick search, one of the first ones that popped up... 97 State of the union

it ended:

"My fellow Americans, we have work to do. Let us seize those days and the century.
Thank you. God bless you. And God bless America."

... Bush is such a thief... hahaha

They would say, "God bless Iran, No Korea, China, France, Cuba, etc., etc., etc., and their dictators and leaders too."
