I met my girlfriend online some time ago and she lives in Missouri. Sadly, that's about 2000 miles away from my house in Oregon. I will be getting the chance to go there over Christmas break and have NO idea what to get her. It will be the first time I see her in 5 months! I don't have much money since I have to pay for plane tickets, but I have no problem making something. I've given her jewelry, painted her pictures, sang her songs, written poetry. I just don't know what to get her now. She says that me being there is the best present she could ask for...but I still want to get her something. So is there anything sweet and original that you guys have gotten, given, or thought of? Thanks!

Find a nice poem, or write her one like you say youve done. She will never expect it. Its one of the most original things Ive given to a lover. This is not the only site for these, do a google search and you will find many. Good luck

Do you have a good picture or memorable [fun night out, 1st date, whatever] picture of the two of you? If so photo shop it, maybe turn the color to sepia or black & white, find a pretty font and write a SHORT, sweet line on the photo. Put a lot of thought into what you'll write on it. Cheesy will be good in this case. Frame it and give it to her!! Be sure to tell her you made it yourself ;) she will love it I promise

My fiance makes me a Build a Bear stuffed animal every Christmas. It gives me something to snuggle with whenever he isn't here at night. If you have a place to make stuffed animals in your area, then maybe you could try that--of course, any pre-made stuffed animal is good, too!
