no ones ever sent me a money order through ebay.. i've never been scammed or had a prob but i was just curious as to if there are any scams through money orders ? rather be safe then sorry

Actually there was a scam awhile back with money orders that were such good forgeries that even the bank didn't recognize them when they were being cashed, and the money orders had THAT BANK'S name on them as the issuing bank!! One of the tellers later admitted she noticed they were a bit different in color than the normal in-house money orders, but hadn't thought much of it.

I am an ebayer too. I specify right in the listing that I accept PAYPAL or USPS money orders ONLY. No EXCEPTIONS and no PERSONSAL CHECKS. International buyers pay via paypal. You will not have any problems if you specify....all USPS money orders look the same, no matter where in the US you buy one! I hope that his helps!!

My sis in law sells stuff on ebay and was send money orders for several thousand dollars and they were fake, so yes.

Absolutely - they're easy to forge, and you have no retribution, because there's no bank - hardly anyone uses them anymore for that reason.
