Look here for step by step tutorials on Modding Halo 1 PC:

If your trying to mod an Xbox and dn't know the first thing about it, I suggest using the "Action Replay". It's "entry level", and can be found on Amazon.com

There are also xboxes sold with mod chips attached, but not only are some of them fake companies that don't actually exist, you're liable to be taken advantage of because you're new to it all. Hackers are kinda' known for being nasty to new folks.

WARNING:
Bungie will Ban your LIVE account if any modchips or mod programs (including replay), are found on your system. Even if you don't actually use them, you can still be banned. They're also hinting that they are going to start banning the actual machines used, rather than just gamertags.

Proceed at your own risk.

Personally, I think it looks cool and stuff, but I like playing Halo 2 Live multiplayer... Maybe if I had another box one day or something. Otherwise, I'll wait for Halo 2 Vista..

different persons can tell u have a mod, ull be reported for dishonest, kicked of stay, then in the journey that your xbox breaks youve voided the guaranty and cant get a change, so i'd propose averting mods.
