saw a girls miniskirt by Guess with material like rags on a little skirt. It looked like a stripper and it was sized 2Toddler.
Young girls clothes look skankier and sleazy. I am appalled.

Isn't there such thing as modest clothing that is age appropriate??I mean I don't want my toddler wearing a teensy article of clothing like that.

I agree. I was at the mall today and I saw a 12 year old (and I think I'm rounding up here) wearing a mini skirt with a belly shirt. she was wearing high heeled boots...up to her knee. she looked like a hooker. and her parents were with her. The problem with the clothes is that parents are buying them for their kids. It is just ridiculous. I'm so glad I am the mother of boys. I would not be able to handle having girls.

I feel the same way. I have 4 daughters all under age 10 and one time while walking in JCPenny, my husband and I saw a thong in the little girls dept. Havent shopped there since.

ME TOO. The older my daughter gets the harder it is to find clothing that is age appropriate. When she was under 4 there were your occasional skimpy/sleezy items but for the most part things were for her age. Now at 8 it's almost impossible to find a cute dress that isn't stripper style. As a solution my step-mom sews her tops and dresses.

At the pool the other, the little girls in the baby class (under 2 yrs) were wearing bikini tops and bottoms. Seems to be the fashion.....

Ok, thank you for sharing your opinion. I agree some clothes made for young children are less than appropriate. However, I'm not sure what the question is.
