I read somewhere that 2004 and some early 2005s had an alignment problem from the factory. I don't know if there was a recall but it was problem that was discussed a lot on the Chevy Colorado forum on the net.. Maybe you can find some info on that forum.

i own a repair shop and your not the only one with this problem,i have had a few of them in my shop for this reason, you need to take it back to the dealer and explain it to them, and they can check it,i have seen three other ones do this, and i couldn't find anything wrong with it,but it didn't measure right when we put it on a front end machine, and the dealer said it was in the alignment, and they repaired the ones i had in ,so if you take it in,be sure and tell them everything its doing,,including eating tires up on it,and they can correct it,its under warranty right now,so don't let other people work on it,they can get out of repairing this way,but they can correct it,good luck,,i hope this help,s,,and have a good thanksgiving.
