I cannot find any specifics about this online. PLEASE, does anyone know? I am betting that the father is not liable for support until ordered in the divorce. Thanks!!!!!!

Specifically, I am wondering if the father would be liable for back child support if he waits for a divorce judgement. I am NOT debating the father's responsibilty-- Prejudging the reason for this question (flame wars) wastes time, and I do not wish to do so. Just, simply, would he be liable for back child support to accrue from date of separation when the child support order is made in the divorce? Or does child support accumulate from moment of said order, during the divorce. Thanks so much for your time and take care!!!
