Practice!! Have a friend interview you and videotape that interview. Then watch it and you will see how you act in interviews.

The more interviews you go on, the easier it gets.

Also, prepare yourself. Research as much about the company as you can. Call and talk to the receptionist or google it. The more prepared you are, the better you will be.

Also make sure you have a good answer for the following questions:

- Tell me about yourself.
- Why do you want to work for this company?
- Why should I hire you out of all the other people?
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

interview is an innerview to measure whether u are suitable to that position. from the employer's point of view a right person is to be appointed to the right position. don't feel nervousness about the interview. feel confidence. answer to the questions if u know the answer exactly. remember that the person/board in the interview session is more experienced and also elder to u. hence if u know the answer give the reply. otherwise candidly accept that u are unable to answer the question so that it gives an impression that u r straightforward. it is better to go the interview by knowing about the company, its board of directors, nature of business, market share, products, profit ,group companies if any etc., time is important. go to the interview half an hour before commencement so that u can adjust to the interview environment. u have the opportunity to meet other candidates sothat u r tension will be eased. dress also gives good impression. when u are going to face some responsible position dress should be decent and it has to give good impression. vulgar dressing gives bad impression. mannerism plays an important role in the interview. addressing the board/person with moderate voice gives good impression. don't sit untill u are asked. don't pull the chair with great sound. dont put u r hands on the table before u.remember all the points which u have written the resume. hope these tips will help u to face the interview. all the best.

Hey, the word interview is perhaps a little too one sided and thus causes the interviewee (you) more fear than necessary. I look at it as a gathering and sharing of information. The Interviewer has as much questions about you as you probably have about the company and the people in that company. Therefore, go in with a mind frame that you are exchanging information about each other. Write down some of the questions you may have about your job, your work environment, career path etc. Not only does it show that you care about your application for the opening, it also shows that you have a clear thought process and not just another Joe Blow sitting across the table like an answering machine. Remember to always walk out of the meeting with this question answered, " When can I expect an answer?" and then follow up in a week's time or so.
Good luck.

You are scared a bit. That means you are better than me. I am scared to death of interviews. Anyways, recently I have resolved to overcome it by practicing interview questions that I found on net and writing down the answers for them. Then I tried rehearsing them again and again and questioned and answered myself. Though I did not clear my last interview but I could feel that I had better confidence while facing the interviewers though I lost it after three rounds, and the fourth was with the Big Boss. Anyways, I did better than my previous interviews and I am sure I can do better next time. You can try this too.

Get it in your head that you don't really need the job and it's not a big deal if you don't get it. You will be a lot more relaxed and answer everything truthfully. People will notice that and appreciate it. The best jobs that I've had interview for and got, were ones that 1) I already had a job so it didn't really matter and 2) I didn't really care because there were so many other jobs in the paper I could choose from. Both times I think I got the job just because I wasn't concerned about what they were going to ask me, I was able to just sit back and answer whatever they wanted to know.
