The ones that listen to gangsta rap. I'm not generalizing or anything.

I don't like heavy metal because of the screaming and there's not real melody to follow. It give me a headache. However, I don't listen to gangsta rap. I have friends that listen to both...or one or the other. It depends on the person. However, I don't know alot of black ppl who like heavy metal and I don't know a lot of white ppl who like gangsta rap.
The funny thing about them is they are similar in some ways. Gansta rap is on the extreme end of rap while heavy metal is on the extreme end of rock. Some ppl who don't like gangsta rap say that if you put a bunch of beads in a drum and drop it on the ground you can get a beat. Some ppl who don't like heavy metal say if you record a four year old having a temper tantrum you have a heavy metal song. (both visuals are funny to me!)

I listen to some gangsta rap and I have heard some heavy metal but really I don't either genre is all that great

I think that they are like anyone else, some are fans of it, others are not. I actually had an employee that is part of a group of women called "sistas in the pit." They absolutely love heavy metal.

I dont care for it. Not because of my race though. I think it is loud and not about anything does not have a good message most of the time and it gives me a headache. But I know black people who do like. You dont make choices because of race, everyone has preferances does not have to do with culture either you like it or not.

i love all types of music from heavy metal bands to rock a billy i think to truly appreciate music u should b exposed to all kinds at some point in life u dont have to like it but sometimes listening can bring about thought provocation.

My friend's ex-husband is the drummer in a heavy metal band and he is black.
Days he has a very good job at the Senate office building and weekends he's drumming away.

Actually a lot of gangsta rappers have mixed their songs with heavy metal songs, so they must like it!

ya know there ARE heavy metal black artist. But to generalize how one community feels about music is silly. CONCIDERING its a PERSONAL choice, not a race choice.
heavy metal music reminds me of my asshole brother and thats why I suppose, I dont listen to it.

lol there is not any choose in explaining ur self because of the fact u like heavy metallic, i recommend ppl like diffrent varieties of music and stuff and if u ask them the comparable question "why do they only like this variety of music they hear to?" they won't have a greater proper answer than u the two reason it relatively is only their and ur nature to love that variety of music lol. and lol i like heavy metallic too coming undone by utilising korn is like my standard music

Im biracial so Im speaking for my ''black side'' if that counts and me, I HATE it ... it makes me feel like killing myself but then again I HATE rap too. It is negatively influencing our young males (especially African American ones) and its just too ANNOYING to tolerate...just as the heavy metal is.
