I don't think any superhero will be able to beat superman. Not even batman. Superman is way stronger than all the superheros because he is from another planet. He could only be beaten if there was a supergod.

Ion used to have close to all-powerful power. he destroyed an entire fleet of ships... without even having to advance a finger. Granted, he gave up those powers because of the fact he became only too efficient. The Spectre additionally would be a stable adventure for Batman. specific, Spectre makes use of magic, and he's between the pillars of magic in the international. yet he's suitable up there on the ability scale of Superman and could be greater suitable than a adventure for him. And... what's this... a woman on the record? Zantana has been suggested to be the Most worthy member of the JLA *nicely, apart from Ion in his few days*. incredibly plenty something she places her will power to, she will do. Granted, erasing some human beings's evil impulses did weaken her because of the fact she did no longer recover from what she did to Dr. mild. yet she'd in all threat elimate everyone else stated so some distance.

Mon-el (of the Legion of super heros) probably could.
He has the same powers but.......
Superman left Krypton as a baby before he had a chance to develop adult muscles. He would always be weaker than someone coming from a similar planet that left when they were older.

Even Starboy could defeat him because his power is to make things super heavy. Once he did that, Superman would lose the muscular powers gained by earth's lighter gravity. Then Starboy could beat him easy.

The Mighty Thor rivals Superman in powers and abilities, but Thor has much greater experience in battle. Thor's powers are not dependent on which kind of sun he is exposed to, so if Superman was to be near a red sun too long he is significantly weakened.

Captain Marvel (Shazam)is also a good choice if it came down to a one on one battle. Each possess equal kinds of powers and abilities.

I'm just glad that all these guys are on our side;-)

BATMAN IS THE ONLY ONE

For those who have extensively read comics with Batman and Superman in them, you would know that Batman STILL HAS a piece of Kryptonite secured inside a secret hidden lead lined safe. He has been keeping it against the day when Superman might get out of hand and need to be dealt with.....

Gladiator,
Is an alien possessed of numerous abilities, first and foremost being his extraordinary strength. Whilst the uppermost limit of his strength is unknown, Gladiator has proven able to lift over 100 tons in weight. He once lifted the entire 35 floor Baxter Building in New York City, and has boasted of being able to move whole planets. In addition to his strength, Gladiator is virtually invulnerable to the point where he has survived an explosion of nearly nova force completely unharmed. He is, however, vulnerable to certain unspecified wavelengths of radiation.
Gladiator can fly at speeds rivalling those of starships, and can achieve faster-than-light speeds in hyperspace. He can survive unprotected in the vacuum of outer space, being able to go long periods of time without needing to draw breath. Thanks to his incredible lung capacity, Gladiator is also able to draw in large amounts of air and then expel it all to create a gale force wind. Gladiator can also project intense beams of heat from his eyes that can reach temperatures comparable to those produced by stars, as well as microscopic vision that lets him see beyond the sub-atomic barrier. Much, if not all of Gladiator's abilities are entirely dependent on his level of self-confidence. The more confident he is in being able to complete the task at hand, the more powerful he becomes. Consequently, if Gladiator ever has the slightest hint of doubt that he is unable to accomplish something, then his powers quickly weaken.

Also: Doomsday, Darkside, Hulk. And thats just in a fist fight. There r people like Dr. Strange and Dr. Fate with magic. Silver Surfer and Galactus with The Powers Cosmic. There r alotta beings that could take it to Supes.
