Appeasement is negotiating with terrorists who want to kill us. It is very dangerous because they want to kill us and if we do not take them out, they will kill us.
What we need to do is shoot a lot of missles at the bad guys. When they fear us, they behave. Force is the only means.

Appeasement, in short, is compromise. Depending on who you appease, it can have benefits; however it is usually with a hostile and resolved force which will use whatever you give them to build up their forces and prepares to take more. Whether the more is extracted through military action or a tribute system depends on the power, but it usually ends in a military assault or annexation of land. So yes appeasement is dangerous because most of the time, it will never be enough. So take a stand.

well... it can be used in different ways... it's mainly a word with a negative connotation, but is often used by the opposite party when a group is holding talks with another group that the party doesn't think they should hold talks with...
I mean... the word its self isn't dangerous... but actions can always be dangerous...
certain groups shouldn't be "appeased" but other groups can benefit from talks...
like I think both the Democrats and Republicans should talk about the issues and work together, although some in both parties would call that "appeasing" the other party...

Appeasement is what the Spanish people in spain did with the terrorists who blew up the subway,
They threw out the ruling party as requested by the terrorists.
A year later the terrorists are still killing their people........
So much for left wing appeasement.

Appeasement is giving in to threats rather than confront them. It is dangerous because it doesn't prevent conflict, it delays it & always puts the appeaser in a worse position than if they had stood up in the 1st place.

Clinton appeased N. Korea by allowing them to have nuke knowledge.. it has become a riveting concern for some time now and appears to be intensifying. Appeasement never reveals strength of conviction nor character.

It's like the song says: If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life, Never make a pretty woman your wife. So, from my personal point of view, Get an ugly girl to marry you!" The rest of the lyrics put it so much better than I can but, to add to them, basically, there is always the danger with a beautiful woman of losing her to another man simply because she is beautiful. Other men will want her for themselves and will steal her away. The woman will also use her beauty to get what she wants whenever she wants it and from whomever has what she wants. If that isn't her husband, oh well! Men will also do crazy things for a beautiful woman, things they wouldn't normally do. (Of course, not all beautiful women are evil like this but the potential is definitely there!)

Appeasement is a policy of accepting the imposed conditions of an aggressor in lieu of armed resistance, usually at the sacrifice of principles.
The most cited case is Chamberlain and Hitler.

It means turning and looking the other way and denying the truth that stares you in the face because you hope it goes away.Chamberlain and his administation tried that with the nazis in the 30's ,blair and his admin are doing the same with islamfascism today .The result will be the same .See how Paris is suffering now ,that will be London etc in a few years from now
