I recently got my period and I am using panty liners because my mom has a HUGE pack, I just change them often... but whats the best brand of pad/tampon out there that I can get at CVS or Safeway? Any brands welcome cuz I can look on the CVS/Safeway site (its close to my house)

The best tampons out there are Playtex Non-Deodorant.
I get mine at CVS.

I have tried a few brands, but settled with Playtex. They don't leak.

Pantyliners will only provide enough protection for VERY light flow days. I like plain old Tampax tampons. I find they expand width-wise more than other brands. They never leak for me. I find the Tampax Pearl tampons to be VERY uncomfortable- their end is quite sharp and pointy. That's just not good. I had trouble wearing tampons until I lost my virginity, but after that I never wore pads again. If you do wear pads, Always are good. Make sure you buy the ultra-thin ones (they come in regular, long and overnight LENGTHS), because the other ones are very old-fashioned and feel like diapers!

Playtex Gentle Glide Tampons. I use them, and if this is the first time that you've ever used a tampon, you might want to get slim-fits. If not, then get regular, unless you are a heavy bleeder. The best of luck, I remember when I first got my period. It was horrifying at first, but you get used to it.

I always buy always pads but I buy the ones for size 14 and over. I am not that size but those pads are bigger and obviously can hold more.

Always and Kotex. Tampax Pearl.

You should wait until at least your 5 period to try tampons.
