I am almost finished with my degree in history and just found out that I can not get into the masters program without learning a language in the area of study. I am studying the Middle East and Third World Countries. I know that I will not be able to be fluent in one of these languages in time to go straight into the masters program, so my question is: What sort of job can I get while I am taking language cources that will allow me to get experience in my career field. I am wanting to do research.

Why not become a subtitute teacher? It would only be an on call job and would allow you to study at the same time? How about a teachers' aid. Same benefits as a sub.

You could substitute teach? The only problem with that is most states grossly underpay subs and many states (California for one) today require a 4 year degree and like I said, the pay for subbing is not good. Here in my area of California the pay is between 65-95 dollars a day. However, if you are in the process of completing your language coarse subbing during the AM would be perfect for this as that would give you your nights to study. Also, once you have established yourself and if the sub caller likes you he/she will try to get you into classes that coincide with your history major. That will not happen every time but it will happen. One last thing if you like my idea, do not find yourself excepting any emergency 30 day or long term sub jobs because that puts you in charge of a class and you will be grading papers at night and you will not be able to focus on your studies. Hope I helped and good luck on your masters.

because of the fact you look particularly illiterate for having a Bachelors (no longer "Bachelor's") degree you probably won't bypass the AQT (academic skills try) in the 1st place. I actually have a BS degree in Psychology, yet after maxing out the AQT and scoring 8/10 on the some distance (Flight flair Regime) try i became chosen to pass to Aviation Officer Candidate college the place i became between the seven of a variety of 33 who have been given wings. I served as an Airborne digital war Officer and flew the two digital reconnaissance and digital countermeasures. I knew quite a few historic past majors who have been Airborne digital war officers. in spite of if the academic gadget now teaches that grammar and spelling do no longer rely, they do rely while attempting to alter right into a protection rigidity officer.
