I think Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, although good actors, are very much overrated when you consider how many people think they are the best when they aren't. Some friends told me they think Will Smith, a rather mediocre actor, is better than Tom Cruise, who i would say is a much better actor. In my opinion the best actors are Al Pacino, Robert Deniro, Merryl Streep, Jack Nicholson ....maybe good but not as talented would be tom cruise, angelina jolie, Joaquin Phoenix, Antonio Banderas, winona ryder, and Matt Damon.

I agree with you about all the actors you find overrated!! I do think that Meryl Streep is a great actress, and most actresses should strive to have a career like hers! Or Katharine Hepburns...

Personally I think the best actor would be a tie between Clint Eastwood and John Wayne. Then of course there's Charlton Heston and Charles Bronson in a close race for 2nd. Overrated actors? Too many to name, but Stephen Segal comes to mind. Great martial artist, overrated as an actor.

Tom hanks is not overrated.He is one of the best around.You can't just believe that experts in the movie industry are dumb. As for an actress,meryl streep is at the top.

O: absolutely everyone in twilight, and Nicholas Cage (he dude contained in the nationwide treasure video clips) and Brandon fraisure (the mummy #3 sucked undesirable) U: Christian Bale, Heath Ledger (none of his different video clips were ever favourite, except for the darkish nighttime because, nicely, you realize why.)

I know it sounds silly, but i think Jessica Simpson is a good actress and really funny! My all time faves are Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymoore....
the overrated ones are miley cyrus hilary duff and all those stupid teen queens.....
