For the past 8 months I have been in pain. I have severe pelvic pain, back pain, painful intercourse and orgasms. My periods are absolute hell! I've been to several doctors and they say its just part of being a woman. The only time I ever found relief was wen I was taking vicodin for migraines. I'm fed up with this pain! I don't even want to see another doctor just so I can be told its nothing. I know my body and I know that something is wrong. What do I do? I feel like nobody believes me when I say I'm in pain! Its like they think I'm just tring to get drugs. But I'm hurting. I can't take it anymore, its ruining my life. I've been reading alot about endometriosis for the past few days and I think that may be the problem. How do I get help?

My only recommendation would be to not give up! I know that thats easy for me to say but you HAVE to keep trying. You KNOW your body better than anyone else, so your obligation now, is to find SOMEONE to believe you and to find the cause of your pain. There IS help out there, and there IS a believer. ITs just going to take time. Hopefully you have patience for this. Its not going to be easy.

Endrometriosis is what i think it could be.. Because you have alot of the symptoms of it... Like severe pelvic pain and back pain... Painful intercourse and Your periods are terrible... Endrometriosis can do that to you.... What endrometriosis is, is the lining of your uterus that bleeds every month some how ends up on the out side.. It normally covers the ovary's and Uterus but it can also go into other parts of the body.. It cause all the symptoms that you have and then some.. Most doctors have a hard time finding that it is endrometriosis because they don't have much tests for it... One of the best ways to find out that you have it is through Lapscopy surgery (which i have had done).. Lapscopy is when they make an insision in your belly botton stick a small Camera in side to look around.. That would be the best way to see if thats what it is... So what i would do is get a OBGYN and let him or her know all the symptoms your having and ask them to really investagate....

Well my guess is endrometriosis.... you will have to make your doctor listen, if they won't find one that will. Try an OBGYN. Tell them exactly what you wrote on here! "For the past 8 months I have been in pain. I have severe pelvic pain, back pain, painful intercourse and orgasms" Untill then try advil for inflammation and a heating pad on your belly... it should help a little.. Good Luck

The only thing you can do that will ultimately end your pain is to find a doctor who will listen. I suggest being as specific as you can about where your pain is, what it feels like, how bad it is, when it starts and stops, and what makes it worse or better. Doctors unfortunately don't have patience for anything but facts, so being straightforward and calm is your best approach. Good luck, I hope you find a doctor who isn't a jerk.

Sounds like Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome. I have it and it a pain. I have had it since I was 12 and they never wanted me to know until I had problems loosing weight. The other signs are weight gain, not able to loose it. Excess hair in places that normally you don't get hair.. like on your chin, big toes, upper lip... It is also the same symptoms as Hypothyroidism. The combination. They can run tests. The only other symptom I hate is irregular menstrual cycles that can be painful and last up to 7 days or longer. with major clots. get checked out. It can be treated with BC pills and other medications.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

I got half way down your question and was already thinking endometriosis....and wondering why your doc has not suggested it to you...... You need to go on ahead and finish educating yourself on this condition even further, and see an obgyn. Lots of options...... Surgery, you will notice, is your last option.
