For the computer user, that translates to red, itchy, watery, irritated eyes, along with eye fatigue, difficulty focusing, and a variety of other problems. The AOA says that about 14 percent of patients who schedule eye exams do so because of CVS.
In the United States, it's estimated that about two-thirds of those who use a computer -- nearly 60 million people -- suffer from related eye or vision problems. The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health reports that 88 percent of people who work at computers for more than three hours per day, suffer from eyestrain.
At greatest risk for CVS are those who spend two or more continuous hours at the computer every day. Each year, this includes a larger proportion of the workforce, and it includes most students, who now routinely use the computer for both work and play.

because your stare at the computer long enough and it dries out your eyes. Your eyes need to be at a constant moisture for them to work appropriately so when you don't have that they become red or bloodshot. I can also explain why it is that staring at a monitor for long periods of time can be very damaging to your eys to the point that you might need glasses. If you're interested in that let me know and I'll explain throughly.

My eye doctor explained to me that looking at a computer screen is hard on the eyes because it is difficult for the eyes to determine the depth to focus on. This causes the eyes to continually focus and refocus and tires them out much faster than normal.

I think it's beacuse we blink less, so our eyes get dry. If its a problem, every half hour take a moment to blink your eyes, and look elsewhere.
You could also buy visine for dry eyes.

the electro atomes from the computer,t.v,microwaves, and other electronices have invisable atomes that makes
humans eye sight bad.
not only that the light that comes from it hurtes our pupile and the focus we have in electronices stopes our blinking from a high percent.
so driness,irriataion,light,and harmful atomes
might be the problem.

Because you're not blinking, which therefore causes your eyes to dry out. If you don't consintrate as much, and make sure to blink it won't happen.
