I don't know if You'd call it fun or not, but I felt Great Satisfaction in making a "scrap book" ... a Very Special, Theme scrap book! The theme is the Bible & the Hope it holds out for the Future. You see, I collected our used & worn magazines on Scriptural subjects, and cut desired pictures & headings I pasted them in the book in 'unique' combinations that show what the Bible teaches, and many have expressed delight in it! If you'd like to see some samples of what I have had to work with, here are a few:

Sometimes I also clip a particular paragraph or two out, to use.
I have Really enjoyed it! I used to do things that didn't accomplish anything, except for the moment of fun. But, this has given me pleasure many times over. I've had my spirits lifted by the reminders I get when I look at it on 'down' days. Children really appreciate it, too ... of ALL ages (; Sharing it is probably even more enjoyable than putting it together! But, I do enjoy both! It is an aid to my ministry to others, as well as an encouragement to myself. It is a Wonderful activity for Anyone who is depressed, ill, or otherwise disabled!
All it cost --besides time & dedication-- was $ for a scizzors/razor knife, paper, stick glue, protector pages, & a notebook they'd fit well in. (Protector pages are non-essential though, and the most expensive items.)

I'm a geezer from the old days when pretty much everyone was either a Catholic or a particular denomination of Protestant. Everyone generally got along, including the occasional atheist who, though not popular was at least tolerated. All the priests, ministers, and preachers were educated men and they carefully interpreted scripture so its timeless metaphorical wisdom could be understood within the context of our modern civilization, which critically depends on the advancement of scientific and technical knowledge. Then, about fifty years ago, the era of the do-it-yourself evangelists began. Although they seemed to be Protestants, they were not. Most had little schooling beyond high school, if that, and they interpreted scripture with a bigot's narrow-minded word-for-word literalism. They idolized scripture to the point of literally worshiping the Bible itself and stripped Christianity down to the fundamentals. Worst of all, the evangelical born-again fundamentalists arrogantly usurped the designation of "Christian" for themselves -- as if they had exclusive use of the word and the world's Catholics and Protestant denominations didn't worship Christ. This linguistic arrogance has led to considerable confusion, with perfectly reasonable Catholics and Protestants receiving a lot of flack that rightfully belongs to those bigots who relentlessly attack legitimate knowledge and arrogantly demand that everybody must agree with them, on any and all topics. Make no mistake, as an older atheist I certainly do understand the difference between reasonable Catholics and Protestants and those bigots who call themselves *Christians*. I do apologize to any legitimate believers, mature enough and cosmopolitan enough to simply agree to disagree with me. I am sorry if my anger and indignation at *Christians* may have inadvertently wounded any legitimate Catholics and Protestants who have gotten caught in the verbal cross-fire here. Actually, I'm perfectly happy to peacefully co-exist with those Catholics and Protestants who will simply return the favor and not belligerently and relentlessly attack the legitimate scientific knowledge which has become absolutely essential to maintaining our civilization.

Exploring caves that were abandoned; we didn't go in far, so not much danger.
Going on car rides to whereever, and looking at scenery. Take only back roads.
Bike ride through town, using only the alleys, no main roads.

after my fiance got sent away for a lil over a year and he came back home we took the day and went to a lookout where they have a great picnic area and river where you can go swimming. Neither one of us had been there and it was beautiful. we had a great day walking and talking and just spending quality time together.
