Extended time in hot baths/ hot tubs can in some instances stimulate uterine contractions. The uterus is well insulated in the pelvic cavity and the exposure to high heat would have to be sufficient in duration to raise the core body temp. which can stimulate muscle cramping, the uterus being a muscle is not excluded from the possibility. The onset of contractions after a hot shower can be possible but not probable as she would have suffered other effects related to extreme heat such as scalding. At 38 weeks it was her time, baby was ready to greet the world.

The warmth of the hot water makes the muscles relax including those of the cervix. This will indeed help to speed up labor in many cases. But be carefull. You do not want the water to be too hot for it may cause damage to the baby within the womb.

i think of you may of misunderstood or somebody has mis-recommended you....warm baths are actually not stable in being pregnant because of the fact they advance your physique temperature and your blood rigidity, the two considered one of that isn't do your infant any stable. in spite of the undeniable fact that baths are stable for some women human beings while IN labour. they are able to help ease the contractions and likewise because of the fact they make you loosen up, which could additionally inspire labour to progression. The baths even then nonetheless should not be greater suitable than 37.5 - 38 tiers. in the adventure that your needing the variety to inspire labour then i'd try having intercourse, sperm softens the cervix certainly or giving your better half oral intercourse and swallowing( confident i comprehend, too plenty info, lol) however the sperm absorbs by way of your abdomen greater effectively into the uterus. in any different case stable previous strolling. i'd evade warm currys/castor oil etc because of the fact they only supply you the runs, that may them make your abdomen/uterus settlement yet we could be straightforward...who needs to be going into labour whilst having the runs??? lol a rather good variety of the others are myths yet can no longer injury to attempt and shop your arms crossed, lol. wish that has helped slightly and robust success.

I don't think its true. I took lots of baths, but it didn't start labor. I tried lots of things to get my labor started and none of it worked. My baby came when he was ready. I heard it is true that too much heat can be bad for the baby. Just passing on what I've heard.
