I wonder. I'm not race baiting. I'm simply asking a question on human nature. Please THINK before you answer!

Oh, and let's assume that Iraqis are not "white" by traditional American standards.

Wow! PC rules on Yahoo! Answers. Very interesting. If you don't think so, OK! I don't think you are thinking hard enough though. Think...white people being pushed into mass graves...White people hugging American soldiers...White people on the cover of newsweek. Think harder! You can do it!

No, that would mean much less people would support it.

I would hope that this would not enter into my opposition to the war, I would like to say I have been against it from the beginning as I felt it was not proven that Saddam had WMD's. I think that the Iraq people have suffered enough under this war. I do not know the answer on how to get us out of there now that it is such a mess. 655,000 Iraqi, 3000 Americans have died, many, many more wounded and disfigured for life and for what purpose really. I would like for our guys just to pull out and come home and defend me before anymore Americans die for no good reason.

No. It has nothing to do with race, fool. Most Americans don't support the war because it is unethical. It is illegal, run by corrupt politicians and war profiteers such as Haliburton. It has sent a country spiraling into uncontrollable civil war and increased the threat of terrorism to the American people.

No, we need to stop the traitors in the media from misleading the public. The other problem is the average American is too uneducated on the situation to make an intelligent assessment of Iraq.

Live and let live.
the reason we were targeted in the first place is because the grand U.S. of A. was over there messing with their way of life.
Get it.
they want to live their life , just like we want to live ours------without any one else (from another country) telling them how.
But NO, We (our Government-not the American people) have to butt in and tell them what they need.
Do your research and you will see our government started this over twenty years ago---they just had no way of controlling the outcome!
win the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people.......
you see the result.
you propose we would be happier and more willing to be fighting whites?
O.K.?

evil comes in every color of the skin. I wounder just what they teach you in your country. American are made up of all races and creeds. the war would have more support if they were allowed to fight it like a war, and take the politics out of it. the liberals want and have done well to paint it like VietNam, which is a shame because like nam. we didn't loose we quit, well we repeat history?

I understand your question and American (and world's) attitudes. For example, Darfur isn't on anybody's radar, and I believe it's a racial thing.
But to get back to your question, no, I believe Americans are against the war on principal.

Being "white" as you coined it......no I never gave it a thought as to what ethnic group the people of Iraq are.
Why would it matter; we want the oil and don't care who lives there and by G0d they will be free even if it kills them, so help me Bush.

No, fewer people would support it. The troops have killed tens of thousands of Iraqi men, women, and children. If the Iraqis were white, it wouldnt just be democrats that are outraged about it.

No, war is war and the war over there is useless and should never have been initiated. It seems no one learned from the Vietnam war, especially our president (who was too busy dodging the draft to save his sorry skin).

I think many Americans would only support the war if it was in their own backyard.
