I am a 38 year old mother and I would really like to freshen up my wardrobe. I am 5 feet even and wear a size 8-10 bottom and medium top. I am looking to find some petite pants and jeans that don't look like they are made for a 15 year old girl's shape (why do they assume that because you are short you also are slim?!) I am on a budget and I really don't have time nor the skill to sew. HELP!

I have the same problem! I'm 5'2" and tired of buying pants that are too long and hemming them. And not all stores sell petite sizes. My favorite store (Target) doesn't.

I just shopped for jeans a couple days ago. Lee makes decent jeans in petite sizes. I've bought Cherokee and Chic jeans before that fit well. Right now I'm wearing Gloria Vanderbilt jeans, which are made in a nice petite size in stretch denim, but their sizes are off a little. I had to buy the next larger size (grrrrr!), but I do like these jeans. They're comfy, and don't look like "mom pants", but they fit my shape. I'm in my late 40's, so I'm not a skinny little girl any more.

Good luck, and keep looking!

try finding on the Buckle. i'm petite besides and that they'll regulate your denims at no further value. I in undemanding terms purchase my denims from them and many times on sale as a results of fact they seem to be a sprint greater high priced. i will many times discover a pair of Silvers or fortunate variety for under $50. they'll nevertheless regulate them for you at no further value even whilst that is on sale. i be attentive to the way you experience. i'm 4 foot eleven inches and 25 so each and every thing is far too long on me! wish this helps!
