Is anyone familiar with what it would take for a US citizen to get a work visa for the UK. He's a highly experienced Vtwin mechanic ready for a change. Where would he start?
Thank you in advance.

You might have to check with the immigration department. Or, the american embassy in London might be a good start. Just check their websites. I am american but I have dual citizenship. My brother (a motorbike enthusiast in USA) told me he new a couple that had a business in Scotland and sold 500 bikes in one month, but now live in California and have only sold 30 in one month! Hope it helps. Maybe try looking up actual motorbike shops and then emailing them for advice or help. Good Luck!

you're actually not "shifting" to the US any time quickly. you choose a sponsor who's a quickly blood relative and who's a US citizen, and who has sufficient earnings and sources to help you. Is granny your mom's mom? Is she a US citizen? Can she help your mom - stable activity, etc? IF granny meets each and every of the standards, then she will petition on your mom. finding on your mom's citizenship (only because of the fact you reside in uk does no longer recommend you're uk citizen, so out of your question, I have not have been given any theory what your citizenship is!), it relatively is going to take quite a few years to be admitted to US. After your mom will become a citizen, she will petition for you if she meets each and every of the standards, and then after waiting consistent with all the different applicants, you will desire to be admitted. If granny is a US citizen and if her petition on your mom have been authorized, your mom would desire to be admitted to the US in yet another 5 years, 10 years? Then it would take 5 years as criminal everlasting resident earlier she will practice for citizenship, etc. you will desire to have the potential to immigrate to the US in approximately 15 to 40 years from now, finding on how long the traces waiting for admission out of your us of a are.
