My 2 yrs old baby cousin just broke her collar bone, I am so down right now. Is there a strong possibilty for a full recovery or is there a chance of disfigurement. I cannot begin to imagine what she and her mom is going through.

A full recovery can be expected. There is a slim chance of mild disfigurement, more like a slight imperfection under the skin from calcium healing the bone. nothing really to be concerned with, cosmeticaly.

the chances for recovery are excellent. broken collar bone in a child is usually not a terribly serious injury. it is a broken bone, and is painful, but if that is the only injury, the child could be expected to make a full recovery.

Your cousin should be fine. If they do like the doctor says it should heal back fine. I have seen baby's with broken collar bones at birth. They just form arthritis's early in life. But don't worry everything will work out fine.

I had mine broken when I was about 6. Basically it's not noticeable and it is fully functional. I'm 27 now. I did have to wear this thing that looked like a thick pair of suspenders for a month which I really hated because the itching annoyed me.
