Yes it is a good title,, I think it would be interesting but I always look at the inside jacket to see if I would really be interested. What is the story about? Is it like a chick flick or what? I wonder what type of pic you might use on your cover. I see blues and oranges.
Good Luck to you and your friend I hope you sell big-time.

I think if a person were to use roman numerals I think that they're trying to make the story look interesting and eye catching because if you think about it there aren't allot of books with roman numeral chapters, so I think that's unique. It's not snobbish at all, it's different and interesting than 1/one or 2/two. I think a chapter with just numbers is simple but interesting especially if the book was about an assassin or spy. I think it says that the chapter speaks for itself not the number. I think even naming the chapter would be even better because tit's creative. BQ: I decide on what the genre is and what would fit best with my story. when I write a story in a different era or year I usually would change the font to make it match. I think that the chapter style should match up with the books plot. If my story was simple i would stick with the numbers, but it's all about what you feel is right and what you think is best for your story. Great question to ask.

As a writer myself, I find the title of your book to be very interesting and I can actually see myself Irving in a ""City Of Lost Dreams".
This could be me coming from a small country to a big city with dreams of making it as a Writer, only to be greeted by rejections. Then, finally after running out of money, I decide to return to my island home.
Yes, I would buy your book.

yes it sounds very interesting!!! but one word of advice, i strongly reccomend that a book is written by one author because you might be friends now but something will happen usually that changes the way you think of one another, one person might take credit for all of the work leaving the other none, yes some people can write a book with their friend or another person but that is very rare!!! just be carefull, it could ruin your friendship, try to compromise, and try to think in each others shoes, maybe their way for the story would be best, dont be stubborn, ok ill finally stop giving advice! but be carefull.

Sounds a bit depressing and destitute.
How about The City of Hope and Dreams?
or The City of Lust and Disease?
...The City of Crud, Crust and Vermin?

for instance...into the deep end was a work in progress...the name was tentative perhaps but go with your gut instinct on it.
feel out whether the name says something specific about it's content or if the name projects any originality and naturally you will want to work together with your co-writer to discuss how the name is going to relate to the subject matter, therefore allowing you both to come to a reasonable conclusion by combining the logic of relation and just plain attractiveness to potential buyers.
btw, i do like the title and it would intrigue me to "check it out"...

Is it really about a city, or it is symbolism? I'd drop the "The" at the beginning and just go with "City of Lost Dreams."
