how long did it take to heal? I have to have surgery to get the nerves and tendions fixed to get feeling back in my hand.

My mother did once, when she was in high school. She ran around the baseball fencing, and she grabbed the pole to help her swing around. A wire cut her, and she didn't even notice she was bleeding until someone else pointed it out to her. I don't know how long it takes to heal, though.

I haven't had stitches in the palm of my hand, but I have had stitches on my throat, IN my throat, on my back, in my leg, in my nose, and in the back of my mouth......


I had a tracheostomy for almost 3 years (hole in throat, with six inch plastic tube in it - like having a permanent open wound with a foreign object stuck in it) I'ts sewn shut now, I had to lose over a 100 pounds to get it closed up. It was a direct access to my lungs because I have what's called sleep apnea.

ohhhhhhhhh no sounds very painful! In fact I've never had stitches at all!
