Both, I have attained what I wanted when I pursued it, then again when I did not pursue something it turned out for the better as well.

We don't have pre destined plans when we come to earth. We choose what to make of our life and our actions become our reality. I wanted a new car, so I got an education, a good job, and now I have a new car. It wasn't "destiny". It was hard work and sacrifice that made it so. I choose to be fat or skinny, happy or sad, rich or poor. What I can't choose is my hair color, tallness, eye color, ect...but short of genetics, We all choose our path in life, good, bad, or indifferent.

I will agree on some levels that creating your own path is valid, and in spite of pitfalls you may gain enlightenment, and possibly be able to answer your own Q,,, BUT always,,,AFTER the fact.

BTW,,,Knowledge is usually acquired,,,AFTER we NEED it.

it a cop out for no longer talking duty like 10 people have been in a disaster and four did no longer make it and that they say the angels saved me yet what approximately the different those that the angels supposedly did no longer save ? i might stink to have lazy angels _

Life is what you make it. I think that what you make out of your life has certain situaltions that are meant to take place.
Destiny changes with time and place.

Thus, wrong place at the wrong time.
