it's old, 2001 but we watched it the other day in history class and it was the episode where the soldiers discover one of the Nazi's death camps. it was amazing how well the directors made it look so real. i mean, people should really watch this show! it is an eye opener.

I've seen it a number of times. It's one of the best portrayals that I've seen of how that war was for the soldiers themselves. My father was a combat engineer during WWII. This series helped me have a better understanding of what he went through. He was one of the first on Omaha Beach at D-Day (The Engineers went in first to clear obsticals for the rest of the landing force) and was in the Battle of the Bulge. He was ambushed in Belgium shot at in France and helped bridge the Rhine for the final push into Germany. He never spoke of it very much but did make a statement that I've heard repeated by many WWII vets. "We weren't heroes. The real hero's are buried there."

Band of Brothers is one of the best things I have ever seen. It is by far and away my favorite mini-series. I usually watch it once every couple of months and I cry in the same places every time. As someone who was not alive during WWII, BoB has given me such an appreciation for the men and women of the Armed Forces, as well as an astounding appreciaiton, love and respect for the men of Easy Company. It takes my breath away every time I watch it. Thank God for DVD.

Old? My my I must be getting old.

I own it on DVD and it is wonderful from a history buff point of view. I have watched all the way through 4 or 5 times and it is very accurate.

An outstanding presentation. It made such a strong statement without all the cliches usually thrown into war flicks. Hats off!

Ya it's a great show. There's been many interviews with the surviving members since they made the show too that are also good. They tell you even more in depth what was going on.

Alot of british actors playing American GI's was my first thought. But, in general, i' liked it. The death camps looked real, can you imagine what the REAL ones were like....

Excellent show, realism is astounding. It sounds cliche but it makes you feel like you're there.
