In 1993 James Bulger who was weeks away from being 3 went to the mall with his mom and at the last stop two 10 year olds snatched James. James mother searched fantically trying to find her son meanwhile the two boys had taken James out of the mall and walked him over two miles away, the first thing they did was drop James on his head and then they continued walking in the public. It was getting close to nightfall and James was crying for his mom, the boys took him to a closed off area near a train track and this is where it would all end for 2 year old James. They kicked James, hit him with rocks and the whole time James cried and when knocked uncounctious the boys thought he was dead and laid him on a train track where his body was cut into 2 but the corner said James did die before the train hit.

These two 10 yr old were released at 18,they never really paid for their crime. Do you think they should have served more time or did they serve enough time?

During the walk the boys took James on a witness saw a boy kick James yet did nothing, another woman saw James being shaken yet did nothing. A woman walked up to the boys and asked what they were doing with James and claimed they had found him and were taking him to the police station and the woman told them where it was yet when they walked off they went in the opposit direction yet she did nothing. So many people could have interviened and saved James life that day including a mom whos child the boys tried to snatch before James. A woman at the mall noticed two boys playing with her son and daughter and thought nothing of it yet when she looked down again her son was gone and the girl had said the two older boys took him, the woman caught them and went on about her shopping when she should have told security, if she had they would of called the boys parents and James would have never been snatched.

The boys were originally set to go to jail after Juvi but they appealed and sadly got Judge wolf, a man who had let a girl at 18 go free whom when she was 11 killed two toddlers and sadly he decided the boys be let go at 18 but that did not stop them from killing again. Robert Thompson has been arrested under his new identity of the rape and murder of a 7 yr old girl and is pending charges. The death of James was hard for his parents, his mother Denise could not even attend the hearings because she was 7 months pregnant and before James she had lost a baby due to stillborn, se considered James her miracle. These two 10 yr olds being 10 new exactly what they were doing, James never got to grow up and have a life so why should they? One boy has already killed again, how long till the other kills again? The judges decision to let the boyd go angered Liverpool, this was one of the brutelest crimes against a child in history and the boys were compared to sudam and hitler yet they were set free

In the legal sense they paid for their crime as the laws were set at at that time. As for the moral sense they both need to be beaten like they did that little boy and left in the cold to die. They are now free but the parents of the little boy will probably never get over the fact their son died alone, scared and in terrible pain.

I remember that case it was in England right, they had that picture of those two fiends leading the little boy away.

I cried like a baby over this. I heard about it on TV when a show called I think A Fathers Grief or something like that aired, it was James dad talking about the crime. He cried threw out most the show and talked about how him and his wife tried to work everything out but just were so tore apart and how he turned to drinking and their marriage crumbled, he talked of how the system failed James.

It killed me knowing so many people could have intervened and prevented James death. The boys were let out in I think 2001 by that bastard Woolf who is one of the most hated judges in the state, gee I do wonder why. It seems he enjoys letting child killers go, he let Mary Bell go who was 11 when she killed two toddlers.

I know one of the boys killed again but not 100% sure on which one, I believe it was Robert. He snatched a 7 year old from a shopping centre and raped and killed her.

I can not begin to immagine the pain for James parents. I remember the father saying how he or his wife could not dare to identify James body so the fathers brother did it and barely could recognize James.

I have read so much on child murders and never read such a horrible one as thsi or even close to it. These boys should of been locked up and if they did not get that moron Woolf for a judge they would have. Woolf is a sorry excuse for a judge and someone needs to take him and those 2 boys and make them go threw what James went threw, they only person that makes me sicker is the lawyer who actually helped the boys. These money hungry bastard lawyers will represent anyone as long as they are getting paid hundreds by the hour.

James mom Denise started some new thing for people who have lost children due to murder and one of the parents of one of the murdered toddlers of Mary Bell is involved in it.

Denise has a site for James but I do not remember what it is called but it has a lot of nice stuff and a really nice poem about how James is in heaven playing with his little sister who was stillborn.

James is dead and we can do nothing to bring him back but he is in a happy and safe place where none can ever hurt again and one day he will be with his mom and dad again

did you recognize that is the first time that I have considered the gruesome information of ways this toddler honestly died. i won't be able to for the existence of me recognize the way those little ones were given to this point with their experimenting of what they could do with acts like this. idea went into laying that little puppy on the railway song. i ask your self are they at an more advantageous position of questioning now that they have got been placed away for 15 years? It purely doesn't upload up that the authorities may have enable them both free without wide 'therapy'. How can they extremely recognize if it has worked and are they diverse boys now? I a watch little ones now to make sure in the journey that they have got mum and dad interior of sight and am attentive to who they're with a lot more effective than i might want to were. isn't it awesome how such a good number of people said him with both boys and how undesirable they ought to have felt even as they realized what had honestly lengthy gone on **I have a 16 month previous grandson or perhaps as he's with me or his mum and dad he's not out of sight for a micro second ** John Jjohno You forgot to characteristic the S on the end of Susan S's call

I remember hearing about that when it happened. Sad sad story. Poor little James doesn't get his life back, why should the other boys??? They weren't tried as adults because they were only ten years old! BUT....they were old enough to knowingly commit murder. That is scary that they were capable of such a horrific crime at such a young age. On the other hand, I wonder about those boys' parents. How could you not know that your ten year old son is such a psychopath? And the people that walked on by and let it happen...come on! They should have been in trouble for not aiding the boy. That's almost as bad as doing it! No, they didn't fully pay for their crime, but does any murder actually fully pay? Can one fully pay for something like that? I don't think so. It makes me sad to know they can go on in society now that they are adults, but I sure hope they are rehabilitated! RIP James!

I'm so glad you posted this so I get all of the story!

No, I don't think it's right. People can change--overtime but this was obviously pre-meditated and sick. I feel bad for all parents involved but I believe those boys should stay in prison at least until they are over thirty. Unfortunately this isn't going to happen so I pray for the strength of that poor little boy's mother's life to get back on track. I pray that those boys never do such a thing again.

It's funny how "the system" works--a drug felon can get life in prison but a murderer doesn't?

Perhaps the question should be, "if these boys performed cold blooded murder when they were 10 years old, what are they likely to do now that they are adults and were raised in a penal institution?"

It may have been more appropriate to permanently house them with the criminally and violently insane.

NO WAY!!! They need to be in there as an adult too. Just because they are an adult now does not mean that they are not still capable of doing something like this again. I think that if you take a life then you get your life taken, but that is me some will disagree with that. If a child at the age of 10 could commit a crime like this then he will definatly do it again.

This story makes me so angry-I have an 18 month old boy and to think if anyone ever did this to my child I would want them to have the death sentence.No-they should have had to spend the rest of their lives in jail if not the death sentence.Just because they were 10 and children themselves doesn't mean that they should be treated any different then an adult-so wrong:(

For two children this age to do something so brutal and in humane you wonder if they should be in with society. They should be put in a facility and get serious help, they will probably do something again after being locked up for 8 yrs. with no real help.
Just makes you sick, sick sick!!!!1

They should have served more time. Since James was only two, he didn't even have a chance to defend himself.
