OK I was wondering if you believe as I do that someone should at least have one bad day for this. No, I do not have an attitude, I am a dept head and have a college education. Never have I recieved a bad eval. quite the opposite! Her boss is her Aunt! Those are the only two above me, the policy book states family cannot supervise family, also my supervisor has been called in by corporate for calls they recieved about her abusive treatment,(verbal) you know a power thing. She has now met the friend that her Aunt wants to have my job and does not like her..another power problem..I wonder..Should I call corporate? My staff started a petition against all of this. Am I being a poor loser? should I just move on and forget it. Im not usually a person who seeks revenge, but she makes me want to start being one !! ya know? It has just happened this week so its real raw! I already have a better paying job thanks to connections in the field!

It sounds like a costly fight with limited chance of true benefit to you. What could you gain with revenge? A chance to stay in a tense workplace while you spend your time watching your back and developing warrior skills, so that people you don't like and don't trust really get a solid opportunity to screw up your evaluations and referrals. Go with grace, but get out of the soap opera. This isn't being a poor loser, this is survivor, the home edition.

If you think that the corporate office will do something about her having family working there I say go for it. It sounds to me like she needs someone to get her back because you are not the first person or the last she is going to be this way with.

The situation sucks and is not fair, question is , do you stand up for yourself and what's right or do you lose your self respect and slink out? Need I say mote- you go to corporate, especially if you have other jobs lined up- all you have to gain is your self respect and the feeling of not being a victim. Can't afford to feel like a victim- it will color your life.

If you try to fight it, it will take a lot of time and energy and the end result may not be worth it.
It's best for you to find another job. It is most important that life at work is enjoyable, more important than what you do how much you are paid.

MAKE SURE.............You can get an attorney fast and then call corporate and tell them the entire situation. If they are unwilling to comply with your telling them what is going on in their company, then start a lawsuit and get results anyways!
