Slammed your finger in a car door or something else and heard the crack your finger made? Did it come out broken or swollen?

Yea, when I was 12 I slammed my finger (right hand, middle finger) in the car door (and it locked) while we were going out for dinner on my mom's birthday,
I was bruised, and the nail cracked, and it hurt really bad, but it didn't break my finger. Thank Goodness.
I still have an indent under my nail though.

when we were young
my dad gave us (6 children)
turns riding to the sawmiill in his log truck
(only 2 chillins at a time)
one day,
my sister m and i were climbing up into the cab to get settled in for our turn
and our dad thought we were both safely in
and he slammed the door closed
so we could get on the road
and m's finger wasn't in all the way
and it got caught in the door.
so, our dad
immediately opened the door
and cared for her finger and her crying, etc..
and after she calmed down,
(and assured him that she still wanted to go for the ride---she was around 7 years old)
he settled us onto our seat
and closed the door
....right onto her finger AGAIN!
(she still had it in the way!)
so....
he immediately opened the door
and helped her with that whole new injury
(on the not-so-old prior one)
and after that calm-down session,
we finally got moving.
the finger wasn't broken.
just hurtin'.
it'd take a lot more than a sore finger to stop us from goin'
'cause on the way home
our dad always bought EACH OF US a candy bar and a soda!

Yes. It happened to me last winter; I crushed a finger real bad in the door of my house. I think crushing hurts more than a brake...In my case, it bled quite a bit and I had to lay down 'cause I thought I would pass-out. I t hurt for 3 weeks and took over 6 months to heal completely.

Ya as a kid. I slammed my thumb inthe car door ,mom locks the door.It took a moment for her to realise what was happening.
Didn't break anything nor loose a nail. It hurt whoa.

Yes once when I was chasing my brother (who knows why) he slamed the door to slow me down, and my finger was in it...it was a big solid wood door, and it closed on my finger...it swelled up and then later the nail came off, it was nasty!

when i was young my mother closed a door and 3 of my fingers were in the space where the brackets are when she went to close the door i screamed and man were my fingers red yes they did swell up pretty bad , but no breaks thankfully. lol

Yes my thumb and my nail fell off eventually that hurt soo badd
