I'm working on a birth chart for my own astrological curiousities, but that's not really important. What is, is that I've been asked to divide my GMT birth time by 10 seconds, to make up for the difference between the 24-hour day and the sidereal day. You don't really have to know what those mean... the point is, how do I divide the time 13:19 by ten seconds?

Each hour is 60 minutes, and each minute is 60 seconds.
So one hour is 60x60seconds =3600.
But that's not what you want.
You want to divide an hour by 10 seconds, so muultiply by 360.i.e.13 x 360 = 4680
Then 19 x 6 114
so the total is 4794
That's what you asked for, but I don't think that's what you want either.
I think you want to add on 10 seconds per hour.
13 hours is 130 seconds = 2 minutes, so the time you are looking for is 13.21

Convert 13 hours into seconds by multiplying 13 by 3600. Convert 19 minutes to seconds by multiplying 19 by 60. Add these seconds and divide by 10 seconds.

Try this: take the 13 and multiply by 60=780 minutes
780 minutes times 60=46,800 seconds
46,800 seconds + 19=46,819 total seconds
46,819 divided by 10=4,681.9
