Why on earth would you go after them? That just isn't right to even consider this, this person was nice enough to include your daughter and you want to go after them this way? You must have known that there would be some type of risk when you agreed to let her go, just take responsibility for your own daughter and pay her bill. If for no other reason than for her own well being, she could become a target real fast among her peers if you do this. It is just a sprained ankle, it will heal.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.
So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.
Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.
A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.
Heal your ankle fully & fast?

Absolutely not. If you didn't stay at the party and just dropped her off, or even if you did stay at the party, it is a risk you take in letting her go to something like that. Skating is the same as any other sport, there is some risk involved. I really think you should be ashamed of yourself for even thinking you could get something out of this unfortunate ACCIDENT.

What is wrong with you? Kids get hurt all the time, that is part of growing up! How can your host be liable for your daughter falling. Did you tell her to carry your daughter around at all times? Just cough up and pay, that is the price you pay for having kids!

no one else but yourself as a parent should pay. that is the right thing to do. so step up and take care of the bill. otherwise your daughter will never get invited to another party again. probably won't even get invited anywhere else for the matter. all the parents will be too paranoid that you'll get a lawyer if she as much scrapes her knee! c'mon. just pay the bill.

You could file a claim with the owner's home owners/business owners insurance and you would probably win, but why would you do that?
It's getting to the point that nobody can have anyone over for a visit because if an accident occurs then your premiums will go up.
Accidents are accidents.

No, because it was an accident. For every activity you do, there is the risk of injury. Are you liable for anyone that walks into your house and sprain their ankle because an accident? No, the same rule apply.

at a private party the host is in charge, at a bar the bartender, server, proprietor and manager are in charge... as for why i honestly do not comprehend, it should be like someone suing the clerk on the keep who bought them ciggs in the adventure that they were given lung maximum cancers...
