I saw it. I have seen it. Use "seen" when there is a "helping" word such as "have" or "has".
This link should help you. Best of luck with it.

I plan on going up on the roof to see the sunset tonight.
I saw the sunset last night, too.
Several of my friends HAD SEEN it, as well.
Whenever you're not sure which tense of a word should be used, just say each of them in a sentence (out loud), and you should be able to hear which one sounds right.

saw is past tense - I saw you yesterday.
You use seen w/ the word has or have - I have seen you before./ She has seen you before.

To be correct, 'seen' is ALWAYS paired with a "have" or "be" verb in some way: usually "have/had" or the "to be" verbs (was, were, etc.). Also, 'seen' is ALWAYS past tense plural. 'Seen' is never alone with a pronoun.'Saw' on the other hand, can be alone with a pronoun or individual name. Hope this helps!

You "saw" it. You have "seen" it. You never say you "seen" it or you have "saw" it. THat would just sound weird.

you say the word seen after the word "have"- exa: i have seen that movie. use the word saw without the word "have". i saw that movie. (pardon my typing)

When you use 'have' or 'has' before it, you use 'seen'.
e.g. I have seen the light.
He has seen his friend.
You have seen them all.
We have seen the rabbits.
Otherwise, you use 'saw'.
e.g. I saw the light.
He saw his friend.
You saw them all.
We saw the rabbits.
