I say not only out of respect but to enhance your experiance of the game don't be "that person that didn't stand" in the place that you are sitting. With booze being served and fans getting excited about the game it is not only respectfull to the country but may make your experience more enjoyable.

I think you should, if for nothing else it's simply good manners. If you were a guest in someone's home you would respect the way the host runs her house, or think of the whole " When in Rome ,do as the Romans do." I hope that you enjoy your stay in my home and that your teams win each ball game.

Yes, out of respect.
I always stand for the Canadian national anthem at baseball and hockey games as do most of the other fans...

Out of respect you stand, if you are wearing a hat you take it off. I was in Germany for 4 years and we did the same for their anthem as they did ours.

Stand as a form of respect.
No matter where you go, that should be the way.
When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Same thing. (Unless of course you're talking about things that are against the very fabric of who you are...)

Yes, you should stand. Americans in another country should offer the same courtesy.

Well, it's considered polite to stand up. you don't have to sing it or sell your soul to Uncle Sam. Just look like everyone else, and you'll be fine. :)
