I want to be an actress when I grow up. But my parents aren't to keen on me ditching the whole buisness/dreary/suit kind of job that they want me to have. They think I'll turn into some kind of Drew Barrymore. How can I prove I can handle it with responsibility and normalness. How can I tell them that I won't be some sex-obsessed slutty celebrity who has tattoos, does drugs, and smokes while dating a different guy per week

I'm only 13 and I want to major in journalism, that way if I get bored of acting, I can be a journalist or anchorwoman for some news thing

oh and I'm in 8th grade and do my school online. We live upper middle class and I am going to a private school for 9th-10th grade and then to this early college thing for 11-12. see the thing is, my parents are very...obsessed about my education and it really let them down when I said I wanted to do something tv related.
