I love a kid who asks "how do I figure these problems" without asking for the answer outright... but how often does that happen, really?

it doesnt matter anymore, they have reduced the emphasis on coursework in exams now as a result

is a pity for teh people that do very well in exams though, as they will now be under more pressure

Yes, I think it is funny/inappropriate when a kid posts something that is obviously straight off a homework or essay assignment.

Yeah, but if you give the method used to find the answer, they can see how it was done and hopefully apply it to the next problem. In theory it's a good idea, but in practice it's weak.

I don't think we have the right to say anyone else's' question is worth less than anyone else's' including the ones that we ask ourself. When I see questions that I don't like I just ignore them.

Yahoo just faces the reality that they will ask ( at least it confines it to one category )

well if it helps kids with their homework then no, but if people are going to be stupid and give kids wrong answers then yes.
